All Joshua Tree rock climbing Courses will be delivered in a Private Guiding format. You will not be grouped with other clients. This maintains a low student to instructor ratio providing a better learning environment. By signing up for a two or three day course You will enjoy the benefit of a lower per diem rate when compared to daily Private Guiding.

Top-roping is a good way for people new to rock climbing to practice skills. If you are coming to Joshua Tree for a few days and want to set up your own climbs, a Top-Rope Setup Clinic is perfect. Spend your first day with us learning how to rig your own rock climbs, then get the most out of your trip. After the clinic we can point you toward good areas to practice. A Learn To Lead course with Mojave Guides will introduce you to the gear and techniques used for traditional rock climbing, and then allow you to safely apply your new skills on a top-rope. If you do well, we can proceed to actual leads of easily protected routes in Joshua Tree. Introduction To Rock Climbing Course or equivalent experience is required to register for this course. The skills learned in Mojave Guides Self Rescue course will teach you how to get yourself out of, or better yet prevent, the jams you can end up in if rock climbing in bigger more remote areas is your goal. These skills may also apply to less committing days at the crags in single-pitch environments.
